Jack Vaul /'ʤæk 'vɔːl/ is a writer/rapper from the southern suburbs of Adelaide, Australia who has been making music for over twenty years.
Emotions and weird stuff, mostly.
One half of Lowlight Plains, one half of Thorts & Prayrz, former member of d33p h33t and The Automenta.
Adelaide rap hero Kultar Ahluwalia does a video series called Lunchbreaks where he raps in his car, and invited me on to be the first guest. This was really fun to write and record, even though the car was hot and sweaty and there was a fly that wouldn't go away.
People really loved this video so I'm only going to rap about Suzuki Swifts, in Suzuki Swifts, from now on. Get used to it. Adapt or die.
We made a cool song about death, you should listen to it. Produced by Haunted Days, from Thorts' album Hanky Man (hardcopies available through El Gran E Records)
My new EP. Beats by Denno, legac.y, Ayoo, Murma One, and OceanBeats. Mixed and mastered by Denno. Featuring songs such as Smack, Goldfishing, and some others I guess. Available on CD & cassette tape thanks to El Gran E Records, check it out now.
Listen to Thorts & Prayrz (AKA Jack Vaul) entertain themselves and each other (and, quite likely, nobody else) over beats by Murma One. An exercise in spontaneity, the two emcees vowed at the beginning of the project not to take things too seriously, though still manage to touch on issues of religion, existentialism, childhood, and Tabasco croissants, amongst other things.
I released an EP full of good songs that you should listen to. So, go do that, why don'tcha.
Producer Wakemare and vocalist Jack Vaul team up to create something brutal and beautiful; emotive rap tracks swirling with industrial and experimental elements.
